Tanvi and Jay were introduced by a mutual friend, who also happened to be both Tanvi's cousin and one of Jay's best friends. They both knew of one another for about a year, but it wasn't until Christmas of 2015 that timing was finally on both of their sides! With some convincing from friends, Jay finally mustered up the courage to shoot Tanvi a text the day after Christmas. Tanvi, as most women, did not respond until the next day (and the "play hard to get" game went on for about two weeks!) As Tanvi and Jay tried to meet up in person, personal and familial obligations kept them busy, which meant they had no choice but to keep the conversations flowing & quit playing hard to get! Three unsuccessful attempts to go out on a date only led to more hilarious, yet deep conversations via text and phone calls. Fast forward 1.5 months, Tanvi and Jay were finally able to meet face to face on February 14th, 2016 in Philadelphia. One would think that such anticipation would result in a large amount of nerves, but shockingly the awkwardness lasted only about 10 minutes! With a first date filled with good food & easy conversation, bar hopping all around philly, and even some dancing, it was a no-brainer for both of them that this newly found friendship would become so much more!

After 3 years filled with adventures and laughs, both Tanvi and Jay knew they wanted to take that next step in the near future. On May 11th, 2019, Jay popped the question in the most unexpected way that threw Tanvi completely off guard! They were in NYC to celebrate an event for a friend, therefore making a weekend trip to the big apple out of this served as the perfect cover-up! The morning started off with a surprise manicure for Tanvi, a Starbucks breakfast, and a walk through Central Park (little did Tanvi know that Jay had the most perfect proposal already planned). With a few minor bumps in the road as Tanvi is not the easiest to trick...Jay found the perfect bridge in the middle of Central Park on that spring morning, got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring, and asked the question right as they were getting a caricature drawn of themselves. As Tanvi's face was struck with shock and confusion as a proposal was truthfully the last thing on her mind that day, she obviously said HECK YES within seconds! As if that ultimate surprise was not enough, Jay had then planned an engagement photoshoot in NYC and a small get together with a few friends at a local NYC bar right after!

Tanvi & Jay are now very excited to celebrate with all of you on April 3, 2021 as they tie the knot in Springfield, PA! Let's get this party started!
