If you're invited to both the ceremony and reception, please arrive at Hope Street between 1:45pm and 2:00pm. If you’ve been invited to the reception only, we’d love to welcome you from 6:30pm
When Jay was born, he had his dad’s surname, Brislen. But later, his dad changed his name back to Thompson, which meant Jay was the only Brislen, and the name didn’t hold much significance to us. I joked that if we were going to be Thompson, we might as well be Johnson! But I’d always said that if we ever got married, I’d love for us to take Jay’s Grandma’s surname, Cavell—so that’s exactly what we’re doing.
We have a photographer capturing the ceremony, so we kindly ask that phones stay in your bags on silent. You're more than welcome to take photos after the ceremony, but not during.
Unfortunately, we don’t have space for plus ones, so unless we have invited them, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests. If your partner has been invited, they will already be included on your invitation.
- On-street parking meters are available on and around Hope Street, operating from 8am to 6pm, with free parking between 6pm and 8am. - Alternatively, the Anglican Cathedral car park on Upper Duke Street is just a five-minute walk from the hotel, with a 24-hour parking rate of £14.50. https://www.horizonspaces.co.uk/locations/show/1010236433/book/68423531/confirmed# - If you're travelling by train, the nearest station is Liverpool Central, a 12-minute walk away via Bold Street, passing the Bombed Out Church. The last train departs around 11:45–11:50pm, depending on your end destination.
Children are welcome only if they have been specifically invited. In line with Frederiks' rules, all children must leave the reception by 9:00pm.
We don’t have a wedding list—your company on the day is all we could ask for! But if you’d like to give a gift, we’d really appreciate a contribution towards some little getaways after the wedding (once Michaela finally renews her passport!).
