Great Lakes Brewing Company

One of the original Cleveland breweries and we still can’t get enough! Maddie and Jay like to attend their “hop college” classes as a date night and hope to graduate at the bottom of their glass.

West Side Market

Fresh food market dating back to the 1840s. The cafe serves breakfast 7 days a week and is a casual date spot for when Maddie is working night shift. Such a rare and special gem in CLE!

In the Tremont Neighborhood:

The Treehouse

A Tremont favorite with the ultimate neighborhood vibe. Make sure to grab a Black Christmas (half Guinness - half GLBC Christmas Ale) while you're there.

Edison's Pizza Kitchen & Pub

Best late night pizza in the city. Grab a slice after you leave the Treehouse (it's right next door), and pop into the pub to check out the house-turned-bar while you're waiting!

A Christmas Story House

You'll shoot your eye out! Visit the home of Ralphie and the Parkers, and see where one of our favorite Christmas movies was filmed. Bonus: grab brunch or a drink across the street at the Rowley Inn, one of our favorite night shift - date morning spots (and Guy Fieri approved).

Near University Circle:

Little Italy

A common date night spot for us! We love the cozy, local vibes. Pizza at Mama Santas or pasta at Mia Bella and dessert at Presti’s (Maddie's favorite) or Corbo’s (Jay's favorite) bakeries are highly recommended.

The Cleveland Museum of Art

One of the most underrated art museums in the country, and best of all, it's free! Spend a couple hours and check out art by Picasso and Degas, suits of armor and a mummy.

Cleveland Museum of Natural History

Next to the art museum, you can see dinosaur fossils, crystals and the planetarium. Also a great place for a beerfest if you time it right!

Downtown:

Heinen's Downtown Cleveland

Downtown grocery store in the old Ameritrust building. The murals and ornate dome ceiling of the Rotunda are stunning to behold as you shop for local snacks or grab lunch! Right across the street from the Kimpton Schofield Hotel.

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

Ground Zero for our entire relationship. We met here at a Cleveland Gladiators Arena League football game (RIP). Check the schedule to see if the Cavs or Monsters are in town!

Butcher and the Brewer

One of our favorite downtown breweries. Located on East 4th, it's a great spot for dinner, or to stop in while you're enjoying the pedestrian-only street. Highly recommend the Albino Stout - looks can be deceiving!
