His Story I first laid eyes on LaToya back In 2007. I was attending an album release party at a night club in Washington DC. I was invited there by recording artist Trey Songz’s former manager Bobby Fisher. When I walked in, I met up with Bobby and his team. I then noticed this woman that was sitting in the V.I.P area of the lounge. Her friend Chris introduced her to me because at the time LaToya was managing a singing group and was looking to get some music production. Chris knew that I was a music producer, so she wanted us to network. Little do I know that I would be meeting my future wife for the first time. At first it was just a business relationship. She and her group had come to my studio to listen to some beats. We then started communicating more through text and online. Our convos started to drift away from music and I got to know her as a person. Later after much convincing she allowed me the opportunity to take her out on a date. We had a great date and that turned into to us hanging out on a daily basis and the rest is history! Her Story September 2007, I was invited to an album release party by a good friend of mine, Christine. Her artist wanted to meet and colab with mine. Christine introduced me to Trey’s production and management team. She realized one producer in particular, lived in my area so she made it a priority that I met him. As we walked over to meet him, he stood up and grabbed my hand. After the introduction, he asked for my phone and saved his number as JButtah. We started communicating right away and became quick friends as we shared our common love for reggae music and the industry. One Sunday morning, I offered to bring him dinner for being so helpful to me and my artists. But he declined and said “I want to come over to sit and eat with you”. Over the next few weeks and months, we spent all of our time together, I took a leap of faith… and found the love of my life.
