Tour Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park: apx time 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. We will visit Mt. Rushmore and the Custer State Park Visitor Center. Lunch will be "Dining with the Presidents" at Mt. Rushmore. Optional sightseeing includes the town of Keystone, Legion Lake, Badger Clark Cabin, and/or the Custer State Park Wildlife Loop. (Note: Mt. Rushmore is free but there is a $10 parking fee per vehicle. You will need a state park pass ($25) to get into Custer State Park. Purchase online in advance or at the entrance to the park) **For an optional early morning hike (8 a.m. -10 a.m.) to a special place called Poets Table, talk to Jay**

Tour Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood: apx time 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. We will take a drive through Spearfish Canyon and stop in Savoy for a short walk through Roughlock Falls and Spearfish Falls. We will then head over to Lead for lunch at Lewie's Burgers and Brews. **Optional stop in Lead: Sanford Underground Research Facility -- then on to the historic town of Deadwood where you can gamble in one of the many casinos or stop in to the Saloon #10 and see the chair Wild Bill Hickock was sitting in when he met his fate. If you have a group of people, grab your old-time photo souvenir at Woody’s Wild West Photography! **Optional one mile hike to Mt. Roosevelt Friendship Tower

Friends Dinner & Night Out For our friends who will be in town before the wedding, we’d love for you to join us on Friday, June 5 at 6:00 PM for a casual evening of food, drinks, and great company. We’ll start with dinner at Murphy’s Pub & Grill in downtown Rapid City, followed by a cocktail at Windsor Block Bar. We’ll finish the evening with a nightcap and beautiful views at Juniper at Vertex Sky Bar atop the historic Hotel Alex Johnson. All locations are within walking distance of one another, making for a fun and relaxed evening as we celebrate with friends before the big day!

Early morning hike to the top of the world's largest Mountain Carving in progress: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Choose your distance to get to the top: 3 or 6 mile trail roundtrip. After the hike, catch the short 20 minute movie "What is Crazy Horse?" playing in The Welcome Center. Also visit the Sculptor's Studio and the Native American Cultural Center. (Note: Free admission to Crazy Horse this day only however they do request to bring 3 cans of food for donation to help feed the hungry. You can also leave a cash donation at the entrance gate. A Custer State Park park pass is required.) Eat lunch there at the Laughing Water Restaurant or head to the quaint town of Hill City for lunch at The Alpine Inn, 1885 Steakhouse, Chute Rooster's, or Lemongrass Bar & Kitchen. (Note: if you eat lunch at The Alpine Inn, it's cash only - no credit cards.)

The evening before the wedding, we’ll be hosting an intimate, family-only dinner at our beloved Hisega cabin—a place full of history and special memories. The cabin was built by Kimbra’s great-grandfather and has been in our family for generations. Dinner will be catered and is for family only. For our friends, there will be some dinner options and casual get-togethers organized by Nichole Schulman, with more details coming soon.

Our ceremony will take place at Chapel in the Hills in Rapid City, South Dakota. Inspired by a historic Norwegian stave church, the chapel is surrounded by pines and known for its distinctive woodwork and timeless design.

We’ll continue the celebration at Black Hills Reception, located just off Highway 44. This inviting venue provides a warm, covered space for an evening of dining, dancing, and celebrating together.
