This whirlwind romance happened in less than a year. Acquaintances from church, we were social media friends who had spoken less than 10 words to each other... until he slid in my DM on Instagram to comment on a photo. One flattering comment led to a conversation, which led to a text message, then a phone call, then a visit, to now -- #JnJ4EverLove. According to Him: Jason had a crush on Jessie but received a "cold shoulder" for years at each encounter during our college years. Fast-forward 10+ years later, and the beauty of social media gave him the opportunity and the courage he needed to make another move by sending a Direct Message on Instagram. To his luck, it worked in his favor. According to Her: Jason was the brother of a friend. The friend used to tease the two of them about making a cute couple. With no recollection of giving any "cold shoulder", Jessie was friendly and cordial as she is with everyone. Surprising as it was to see a Direct Message from him on Instagram, she was intrigued and engaged in furthering the conversation by offering her number. Fortunately, it worked in her favor. On January 27, 2018, Jason and Jessie visited the Dayton Art Institute. After walking around the lower level, Jason suggested taking a photo on the stairs. As they walked up the stairs, he asked her to dance as their favorite songs were sang (Ed Sheeran's Think Out Loud and Perfect) as he prepared to propose to her. Jason created an hour glass out of two mason jars, drew a puzzle with a missing piece and a crossword puzzle that spelled out "Will You Marry Me". Inside the mason jar was the blue sapphire diamond ring, and on bended knee, Jason asked her to be his wife and made his promise to Jessie of giving her a 4EverLove.
