We met the summer of 2020 during the infamous pandemic. We lived in the 3333 apartment buildings in Upper Kirby Houston. Around May of that year our building opened the pool with "limited capacity". Those of us that were single and living alone were itching to get out of the house. What started as a little socializing, with a White Claw (or 3) by the pool turned into friends, and then more than friends. After only about a month of dating I (Gini) got the news that I was being transferred to Austin for work. We both thought that the romance would probably fizzle out due to the distance (3.5 hour drive) but to my surprise, when I invited Jay to come visit for my birthday, he was excited to come. From that point on we took turns traveling back and forth to see each other until July of 2021 when we took the leap and I moved back to Houston to live with Jay.
