CLT vs CAE
CAE is the closest airport to our wedding. You will be able to Uber to and from downtown Columbia from the airport. However, flights are typically more expensive to and from the Columbia Airport. CLT is a 1.5-hour drive from downtown Columbia. The flights are typically more affordable, but you will need to rent a car upon landing in Charlotte to get to and from Columbia. This would give you more freedom to explore the Columbia area, though!
Driving from Iowa to SC
THE ROUTE
Hurricane Helene had significant impacts on the route from Iowa to SC. Previously, you would take I-40 through Asheville, but now the entire route is shunted through Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, and Atlanta.
