Our story started on Hinge! It was a bit of a whirlwind romance, we matched on a Sunday morning and we just clicked. We could not stop messaging back and forth and by that night we had a first date set. When we first saw each other, I was not fully what Day was expecting, as I was recovering from having dyed my hair blonde. As soon as she saw me, she exclaimed "You're blonde!" to which I replied "I can explain" which made her laugh out loud. Once again we were immediately comfortable. After that first date, we made plans to see other again that Sunday and we haven't been apart since.

Jay had the ring for quite some time, and one week he asked her to go on a hike in the Shenandoah Valley as one of their patented Sun-Dates. It was cloudy and overcast the entire drive down, but driving throughout the mountains in the clouds was incredible. As we reached the turn back point in the hike, the sun came out, Jay pulled out the ring and suprised Day with the question. And the rest was history.

Day is so intelligent but since the beginning of our relationship, she would pronouce certain words ever so slightly off. Being the know-it-all that I am, I used to correct her. But now that I am older and wiser, I have a secret smile whenever it happens.

Jay makes LEGO minifigures of us. It started off with just LEGO Jay and Day to represent us at home and at work, but now we have minifigures that have gone on lots of adventures, even to space!
