The venue on Saturday is outdoors on grass so please plan shoes accordingly - opt for a chunkier heel instead of stiletto (or grab a pair of heel stoppers). It might be chillier than what you expect for a California summer so pack a light layer or two for the weekend!
It’s up to you if you’d like to rent a car or Uber/Lyft/taxi from the airport. If you don’t plan to do too much exploring beyond the hotel and planned events you likely won’t need a car. If you’d like to hike, check out Monterey or San Francisco, or explore the area more, you’ll want to rent a car. The welcome event at the Boardwalk is a 6 minute drive or a 20 minute walk from Hotel Paradox. There will not be transportation provided to and from the Welcome Party. We’ll be providing shuttle transportation to and from the Hotel Paradox to the Hollins House on Saturday. The first shuttle will leave for Hollins House from the Hotel Paradox at 3:15pm and the second at 3:40pm. Shuttles at the end of the night will start at 10pm and drop off at the Hotel Paradox.
There will be two options for getting your voucher and wristband for the Welcome Party at the Boardwalk. Option 1 - Pick up your Voucher Early and Take Advantage of Free Rides All Day If you’d like to get your wristband early and make the most of the day at the Boardwalk, come pick up your vouchers from 9-10am Friday in the lobby of the Hotel Paradox. Our friend Matt (tall, blond) will be there to distribute vouchers. You can take the voucher to any ticket booth at the Boardwalk for your wristband that will get you free rides all day AND entry into the Welcome Party. If you get your wristband earlier in the day, please ensure it stays on for the Welcome Party. Option 2 - Wait Until You Arrive at the Aloha Terrace for the Welcome Party If you’re planning on coming to the Boardwalk just for the Welcome Party, you don’t have to worry about the vouchers and can pick up your wristband when you arrive at the Aloha Terrace.
