To Angie, Jay was once only known as Guinness Guy, appropriately named after ordering only Guinness beer from Angie while she bartended in the West Village. To Jay, Angie was once only known as Radio Bin Bartender, also appropriately named after the bar she worked at in which Jay often frequented. After many irregular run-ins at the bar, zero introductions to one another, a few hundred Guinness ordered and approximately two years later, the two spotted each other in the most unexpected of places; an invite only Christmas party for Jay's ad agency. With over 1000 attendees, 8 floors of make-your-own fajita bars, 8 floors of actual bars and too many countless distractions, it would seem almost fateful that the two even crossed paths that night, let alone spot each other from across the room. Jay questioned Angie about why she was there (as she was not an employee of the company), Angie asked Jay why everyone at the company didn't say hi to people who didn't work at the company. Jay realized Angie was much more funny and charming and knew many more words than "what are you drinking", Angie realized that Jay's hair was actually that good and he too knew more words than "one Guinness please". And then, so it seemed, both intrigued enough by these new learned facts about one another, the two went on their first date approximately one week later. He ordered a Guinness, she ordered a horrible tasting cocktail, and the two haven't missed a Christmas party together ever since.
