Our story is a simple one full of love bringing us to present day. Jaya and Himanshu met on a dating app called Bumble. In this app, the female reaches out to the male. From behind the screen, Jaya mustered up her assertiveness and reached out to Himanshu…..most of it is history from there. Himanshu smitten by this beautiful girl that reached out immediately responded and a whirlwind of conversations began. From simple good mornings, hi, byes, and hellos, to talking into the night until the phone died or one of them fell asleep. Jaya was worried about meeting this “to good to be true” guy and had him meet her at the lake in the forest preserve by her house for a potentially quick getaway home in case he was “scary.” Needless to say things went well and numerous hours later, their relationship began. They began spending tons of time together going on dates, Himanshu pretending to like shopping, and Jaya watching football. They began traveling together from their first short trip to Michigan to get to know each other better to the eventful birthday celebration in Bali when the time had finally arrived. Himanshu planned a beautiful proposal with music, rose petals, candles in very Himanshu and Jaya style. Their excursions continued to California, New Jersey, Cancun, Bali, Brazil, and a short stint in Australia (Darn those stand by flights). Their families came together in joyous celebration as both of their scenic routes came together to a single path.
