Jeffrey and I started going to the same church, and the same university. We never really took interest in each other until the night Jeffrey and his cousins had a party, that they invited me to. My best friend and I went to the party, and Jeffrey asked me to dance. I played hard to get, and did not want to dance, then I finally caved in, and danced with him. That one dance led to us spending the entire night dancing with each other. As the night was coming to an end, he walked my friend and I to the car and asked for my number. I had a small get together a year prior, where I obtained some of the youth in the church phone number, including his. When he asked for my number, I said no, and as I was pulling out I said you already have it. He pondered the entire night about what I meant by that. He searched through his google accounts and found my number a day later. That night he texted me, and its been us every since.

It was the night of December 23, 2017, that Jeffrey and I got engaged. It came as a thief at night, I had no clue that he would be proposing so soon. We have spoken about marriage on numerous occasions, but never thought it would be that day. it was the happiest moment of my life. I was so flabbergasted that the amount of tears I thought I would have did not come out. He had taken me to prime fish and grill to eat dinner. After dinner , he told me lets go to the beach, and walk by the water. We went by the beach, and stood on top of a building overlooking the beach and the beautiful skies. He then took my hands and took me down some steps, and there was my family and friends with a banner asking for my hand in marriage. I was speechless, that I would be marrying my best friend.
