During this private event, family and close friends will attend to witness while the families come to an alliance and agreement. This event is held in a banquet hall. There will be an Islamic ceremony where the bride and groom will be officially wed under God. They will then sign their names into a holy book. This is called Kateb Kteb (The writing of the book). It is similar to the bride and groom walking down the aisle and getting married by a priest, but not in a religious building like a mosque or church. No music! The wedding reception is a much bigger affair and comes later on. Any questions or curiosities can be satisfied by reaching out to the bride or groom. When walking in, the family related to the bride and groom will be standing in line at the entrance. Traditionally, women greet the women and men greet men! Shake hands and wish happiness for the bride and groom! Dinner will be a traditional banquet meal and comprises of Fatoush Salad, Hummus, Creamy Chicken, Rice with meat, and other side dishes. This is served tapas style, so the plates are passed between all at the table and is self-served.

This is the Wedding/Reception. This is basically one big party. There will be no ceremony portion as this was done in March of 2023. When walking in, the family related to the bride and groom will be standing in line at the entrance. Traditionally, women greet the women and men greet men! Shake hands and wish happiness for the bride and groom! Find a seat and get comfortable! The bride and groom will walk in with a big loud fuss and there will be dancing and clapping and cake cutting and the whole nine yards. Dinner will be served and there will be dessert. Dancing is expected from every guest! After the reception, the bride and the groom will then go off onto their honeymoon. This will then conclude the wedding festivities for the bride and groom. They will go off to live their happily ever after and start a family together! Wedding gifts can be dropped off at the event or sent directly to our home!
