Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding is at one location where both the ceremony and a reception will be held. We are planning to host a lovely outside ceremony in the venue courtyard with an indoor reception to follow.

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask guests to wear cocktail attire inspired by a sunset color pallet, focusing on vibrant oranges and pretty pinks. We are thinking color and fun. Guests are welcome to explore our website gallery for visual inspiration and ideas. We're excited to see the beautiful and unique outfits everyone will choose. As a gentle reminder, we kindly request that guests avoid wearing white or outfits that predominantly white.

Is the event Wet or Dry?

We will be serving select seltzers (High Noons) and beer (Modelos), as well as wine and signature drinks. As we get closer to the big day, we will update the website to include more information. Our nonalcoholic options will include horchata, jamaica, and tamarind as well as lemonade, coffee, and limited canned soft drinks.

What is Asado de boda?

Answer

Asado de boda, which translates to "wedding roast" or "wedding stew," is a traditional Mexican pork dish The dish typically features slow-cooked pork in a rich, dark red sauce made with various dried chilies (like guajillo and ancho), spices (such as cumin, oregano, cloves, and cinnamon), garlic, onion, and sometimes a hint of Mexican chocolate or orange peel. Asado de boda is more than just a dish; it's a symbol of celebration and togetherness in Mexican culture.

What is parking like at the event for the night of the wedding?

Answer

Mellwood Art Center offers all weekend guests FREE parking in one of two large parking lots. The lot accessible via Delmont Avenue is expected to fill quickly as it is considered "prime parking" due to its close proximity to the facility's multiple venues. The entire, large parking lot directly across the street from Mellwood Art Center is also available. Parking in this lot does require guests to walk uphill to the venue. There will be signs day of directing guests towards our venue.

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

Answer

Yes, guests will have the availability to leave their car overnight at the venue if needed. We want guests to enjoy the night while staying responsible and highly encourage guests to plan a ride "home" by using Uber or Lift. Guests that take advantage of this overnight parking perk will be expected to return the next day, Sunday, March 15, 2026 to retrieve their vehicle.
