Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite restaurants and activities in case it's your first time in Tuscaloosa!

DePalma's Italian Cafe

2300 University Boulevard, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

The nicest Italian restaurant in town! Jane Ann has been coming here since she was a little girl, and her parents even longer than that.

Midtown Village

1800 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404

The best mall in Tuscaloosa, and Jane Ann and Javi's front yard! Stop by and have breakfast at Metro Diner, shop at Barnes and Noble and Game Stop, and run by Bobamania for a brown sugar boba.

The Strip

Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Your one-stop shop for all the best bars! Grab a Yellowhammer from Gallettes and dance the night away, or stop by Loosa to play some pinball and sample beers on tap. Whatever type of vibe you're looking for, you can find it on the Strip.

Tuscaloosa River Walk

2710 Jack Warner Parkway, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Take in the beautiful scenery of the Black Warrior River right off campus!

Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

1800 McFarland Boulevard East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404

This is Jane Ann and Javi's favorite date night spot for sushi and hibachi.

Down 2 Game

933 McFarland Blvd, Northport, AL 35476

Our favorite trading card store - stop by for Pokemon cards, Magic: The Gathering, board games, and more! Javi spends many nights here playing games with his friends.

Scooter's Coffee

632 15th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

While yes, you could get Scooter's anywhere, it's Jane Ann's favorite place for coffee (she can't go a day without it).
