I know you're probably wondering how on earth did Bria and Ja'Van meet. Well, they met in the most common way that many other millennial's meet; Social Media. In the summer of 2012 Ja'Van was scrolling through his Instagram feed and noticed Bria's page. Bria was on at picture exercising at the river walk in downtown Jacksonville. When Ja'Van saw her picture, he couldn't keep scrolling without acknowledging her beauty and resilience, so he took that leap of faith and slid in her DM, (yes, y’all, the DM). Bria opened the DM and thought Ja'Van was super cute and from then on they would have small talk here and there about fitness but never anything personal. The conversations never made it past social media. Bria was really focused on joining the navy so she didn't really have much of a social life at the time. However, one day In March of 2016 Bria decided she wanted to create a Snapchat account, once she did she noticed that "the cute guy from Instagram" had added her on Snapchat (she didn't even know his name yet lol). She decided to DM him to see how he’d been doing. Later that week after conversing everyday, Bria invited Ja'Van to her church (to make sure he was legit LOL). After the service they ate at waffle house and talked and laughed for Hours. Ever since that day Ja'Van and Bria have been inseparable. Ja'Van and Bria became really close friends as well as workout partners. After 4 months Ja'Van asked Bria to be his girlfriend on July 29th, 2016.

On their 2nd year anniversary of dating. Bria and Ja’Van celebrated by attending Sunday worship service together. After the service Ja’Van took the scenic route through the town until he and Bria had reached their destination. While vibing to the perfect playlist Ja’Van made for her, he drove to the areas that he and Bria would frequently visit when they very first met, pointing out “Remember the first time we came here” “Remember our first date”. He even drove to the brigde Bria was standing on in the picture from when he first spotted her on Instagram (How cute!!) Bria was on cloud nine at this point because she loves taking long car rides with her boo. Once Ja’Van reached Bria’s home, he told her to get dolled up for dinner that evening. Ja’Van picked Bria up and they continued listening to the music, laughing and enjoying one another until they reached River & Post. Bria looked around to see if she saw any familiar cars just in case he was trying to sneak one up on her (lmbo), however she didn’t notice anything out of the norm. Ja’Van had made them dinner reservations so they were promptly seated upon their arrival. Bria and Ja’Van enjoyed an exquisite four course meal and afterwards Ja’Van suggested he and Bria go enjoy the restaraunt’s rooftop view and snap a few pictures. Ja’Van knew that would be right up Bria’s alley, so without hesitation him and Bria caught the elevator to the roof top. Ja’Van stepped off the elevator and snapped a few pics with Bria. Taking Bria by the hand, he proceded to guide Bria to a cozy seating area. Bria was taken aback when she notice both of their family and friends were there waiting on the two of them. Bria was so in shock she bent down to catch her breath and when she turned around there was the love of her life, on one knee! Ja’Van popped the question and of course ya girl said YASSSSSSS!
