What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is “black-tie optional.” Tuxes, gowns, dark suits, and midi-length cocktail dresses are all welcome!

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to ensure you don't miss the big event. The venue will close the main road promptly at ceremony time. NOTE: Virginia Tech is hosting a home game the day of our wedding, so please anticipate and plan for traffic accordingly. We recommend getting in early and exploring town!

Anything I should know for the drive?

Answer

If you are driving in, you can look forward to a beautiful drive! Our venue lives up to its name and is secluded in the mountains, so we strongly recommend downloading/using offline Google maps ahead of the drive in case you lose cell service.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

There is plenty of on-site parking at The Seclusion. If you choose to depart in a vehicle other than the one you drove, you may leave your vehicle at the venue overnight but must pick it up by 10 AM the following morning.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we ask that children do not attend the wedding unless otherwise noted on your invitation. The Seclusion is located on a remote mountain top and is not viewed as child friendly. Please reach out if you have any questions!

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors with an indoor reception. We are excited for everyone to enjoy the mountain views we love so much!
