Things To Do

If you’re coming from out of town, there’s plenty to explore in Marin and the surrounding Bay Area! We’ll share a few of our favorite hikes, restaurants, and must-sees nearby.

Tennessee Valley Trailhead

591 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941

One of Zoe's favorite hikes in the area. You can do a full loop with incredible views and elevation, or walk 1 mile on a flat path to a beautiful beach.

Muir Woods National Monument

Mill Valley, CA 94941

Just a 10-minute drive from Mill Valley, Muir Woods is one of the most famous redwood groves in California. The towering trees (some over 1,000 years old!) create a cathedral-like canopy, with easy boardwalk paths as well as longer hikes that connect to Mt. Tamalpais. Pro tip: reservations are required for parking, so plan ahead.

Stinson Beach

Stinson Beach, CA 94970

About 25 minutes over the hill, Stinson Beach is a classic California surf town with a long sandy shoreline. Great for a picnic, a walk along the water, or fish tacos after a hike.

Sausalito

Sausalito, CA 94965

A postcard-perfect waterfront town just 10 minutes away. Think charming boutiques, seafood restaurants, and stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. Tip: Try fish & chips at Fish. or sit on the deck at Barrel House Tavern.

Equator Coffees

244 California 1, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Great coffee near the hotel!

Hook Fish Co. at Proof Lab Beer Garden

254 Shoreline Highway, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Great lunch spot! We recommend the fish and chips and poke tacos
