The Strand

Bike or walk along one of the most spectacular beachside paths in the world. Officially known as the 22-mile long South Bay Bicycle Trail, locals call it "The Strand." Enjoy a beautiful ride along the beaches of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Marina del Rey, Venice, and Santa Monica. There are many rental places along the path to rent bikes, skates, and other beach gear.

Hermosa Beach Pier

Hermosa Beach Pier is a fun spot where you can easily spend an entire day relaxing to the sounds of the thundering waves. Stroll to the end of the pier to watch surfers catching waves, and stay for a fantastic sunset. Volleyball is a big thing here as well. You can rent bikes and skates, and there are a host of restaurants and bars in the area.
