Jimmy Zhou

Jimmy is Jason's fellow classmate and accomplice at Tesla, where his work involves simulating all the different ways one may potentially destroy their vehicle (and if it can survive through it). Their friendship was forged and solidified through the collaborative misery that is engineering undergrad. Affectionately referred to as "Jimmy the Drummer" by the pastors of his local church, he serves on the worship team - often piquing Jason's musical analysis of his drumming flourishes. The two can often find themselves geeking over the latest car release or jamming to music by their favorite artists. Jimmy is excited to have another ally in Christine to help rebuke Jason together for his hour-long showers.

Julie (Jules) Chung is a Software Engineer (and former Veterinary Nurse) from sunny SoCal. Currently, she is residing in Irvine as a soon-to-be newlywed herself (in March)! When she isn’t working or creating her own custom code applications, she is most commonly seen walking or playing with her rescued Australian Shepherd, Pepper. Jules and Chris met online the summer before their freshman year of university at UCSD, when Chris messaged Jules on Facebook about being dorm roomies together. Well, that was history, because they then spent the entire rest of college together (all 4 years!!) as roommates, same Cog Sci major buddies, best friends, and also dragonboat teammates! Considering each other as sisters by all but blood, they share a very close and familial bond. Jules is forever humbled and thankful for the patient love and kindness she has always experienced from Chris, and cannot wait to share in the next big step of Chris’ life!!
Daniel Ingriselli

Daniel met Jason at university, studying together for their various university classes. Spending some long study sessions together, they fed off each other's energy and naturally became friends. During some of these sessions, Daniel and Jason would enjoy occasional debates about religion and faith, with Daniel being a former Catholic. Upon Daniel’s arrival in California for an internship, Jason invited Daniel to Creekside Bible Church leading to Daniel’s salvation later that year; all a part of Gods great plan.

Christine and Amy didn't talk growing up, but God in His kindness reunited them postgrad. Amy has found such a sweet and faithful friend in Christine since then---she is so grateful for the walks and talks, laughter and prayers. Amy is always inspired by Christine's kindness, patience, spontaneity, and love for Christ and His church. She is so excited to witness how the Lord uses Christine and Jason together, and to be a fun auntie to their many kids (Lord willing).
Jonathan Densil

When Jonathan Densil and Jason were just wee little 14-year-olds at White Oaks Secondary School in Canada, their shared love for cars was the spark plug that ignited a decade-long friendship. Their friendship flourished even though Jason traitorously abandoned his first love for fire-breathing works of art and defected to a soulless world of cars without spark plugs. Jason was always a person with whom one could lose track of time: whether it was expounding systematic theology over an endless game of table tennis at Jonathan's house; or Jason musing over Jonathan's unleashed pent-up aggression as an indestructible tank in the game, GTA V, at Jason's house. Jason is one of the greatest gifts that God has graciously given Jonathan the privilege of knowing.
Megan Siah

Megan is an architectural designer turned artist. She creates calming pottery pieces for the home in her San Jose studio, JIA Pottery Studio. Megan and Christine met at Creekside Bible Church where they were surprised to find that they shared unique attributes upon their first conversation and empathized with one another’s experiences. Christine has quickly become a dear friend and confidante. Megan is fond of Christine’s endearing silly quirks and admires her gentle and warm care towards others. Christine and Megan enjoy sharing how the Lord has been working in their hearts by sending Bible verses they’ve been studying and adding them to their ever growing “emergency scripture” list! Megan is excited that a God-fearing, caring brother-in-Christ like Jason will be marrying his complimentary half, Christine!
Kai Lei

Kai is a periodontist who is often referred to as “Jason's dad” after letting Jason crash on his couch for a week when he first moved to the Bay Area. Seeing Jason as a young college student, Kai was able to impart many important adulting skills, such as how to last minute cook a frozen whole chicken in the instant pot one hour before small group. During their 2 years as roommates, Kai and Jason embarked on a startup venture together, partook in debatably “good life decisions” (like seeing Jason eat a whole Costco tiramisu cake), and cooked a lot of chicken. Most of all, they were able to share life and encourage one another as brothers in Christ. Kai is excited to marry his “son” off, and happily accepts that Christine will probably become Jason’s favorite roommate.
Aly Cai

Aly is an aspiring nurse who currently assists doctors in putting people to sleep. She knew of Christine since their youth group days but had never spoken to her until 2018 when Christine moved home from college. In 2020, God brought them to Creekside Bible Church. You could often find them hanging out at church on a Sunday, occasionally eating ice cream, long after everyone had gone home or taking walks together in which Christine would need to catch up to Aly because she would unknowingly walk too fast. Christine is the cat in the friendship while Aly is the dog. A bit opposite, yet both have something in common: being sisters in Christ! Christine is a friend who Aly can laugh with and confide in, one who is always ready to pray for and encourage. She is thankful for the friendship and looks forward for what the Lord has in store for Christine and Jason!
Michael Cheng

Michael currently works at a local semiconductor company to guarantee you can hoard more data in the cloud. When not supplying Jason with strawberries and roses to give to Christine, he enjoys bouldering and cooking for the saints of the local church. Jason rejected Michael's homemade tiramisu in favor of the much sweeter Costco version, and Jason continues to express disappointment that his chocolate chip cookies are not raisin cookies. Thankfully Christine is now there to encourage him to pursue godliness.

Liz lives in southern OC with her husband Brendan and baby Myles. She met Chris over 20 years ago (yikes! That makes us sound ancient) at Awana and are each other’s oldest friends. Their friendship has transcended so many seasons of life — whether close in proximity or distant, they’ve always kept up with each other and shared the joys and pains of major milestones in life.
Austin Yu

Austin and Jason met providentially at CBC almost three years ago and bonded instantly over Christ, cars, cameras, guns, games, jets, engineering, and everything in between. Although their travels separated them for many months at a time, the Lord still allowed them to have deep, vulnerable fellowship to speak truth into each others’ lives even across borders, time zones, and on occasion, in the living confines of CBC. Austin could not be happier that his fellow Lynbrook Viking sister in Christ is now married to a God-fearing brother like Jason!
Francis Leung

Francis was deceived by Christine’s calm and cool appearance in the beginning. Gathering up courage, Francis said her first hi to Christine at a young adult meeting at CBC a few years ago. Instantly, she was melted by Christine's warm smile and soft sweet voice. As much as Francis is passionate about doing classical ballet, she enjoys the silly side of Christine such as learning the floss dance from her and spontaneously doing stretches and exercises. By God’s grace, Francis is thankful that she got to know Christine deeper by taking walks in the neighborhood and doing Bible study together. She is also grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus’s teaching in daily life with Christine. It is exciting for Francis to see the work of God in joining Jason and Christine together as one flesh.
Jefferine Li

Jefferine Li is currently a 3rd year medical student who has gone through 3/4 of her life knowing Christine. She’s been through it all with her — playing dinosaurs in elementary school, trying random acai bowl places in high school, doing strange exercise routines from youtube, struggling through relationships and breakups, and going through the general ups and downs of life together. Jefferine is thankful for the one friend that she can always be her weirdest self with and cherishes the few times a year they see each other because they can always pick up right where they left off! Now if only Christine can just text back faster…
