‘Hey Jason, are you seeing anyone at the moment? Let me introduce you to Grace!’ This is the message that Jason's pastor sent to him, when Jason was already working in Berlin and Grace still in Indonesia. Jason found it a little difficult to initiate a long-distance relationship via WhatsApp, but he did it anyway. Not long after that, Jason and Grace started talking regularly with one another. From a short text, the relationship bloomed to regular video calls. And two months from that initial chat, Jason went back to Indonesia and asked Grace to be his girlfriend! Their first date was at Sushi Tengoku, just the day after Jason arrived, and it was history from then on.

On a lovely Sunday morning, August 6th, 2023, Jason and Grace went to church. Little did Grace know, Jason had planned an entire set of events that day. Jason took her to the mall, while his success team (Victor and Angel) helped him prepare the surprise in the background. Jason then brought Grace to the Matcha bar, the same one he took her to on the day he asked her to be his girlfriend. As the afternoon came to a close, Jason took Grace to a nearby park for a walk. At the park, Jason walked Grace to the proposal spot, where Jason went down on one knee and popped the question. Grace answered 'Yes' rather quickly, sparing Jason from talking too much about how much he loves her. Their friends and Grace’s parents then jumped from the bushes to surprise and congratulate them, making the evening such a wonderful one.
