In the middle of the winter of 2016 on January 18th, Jason and Yinna met for the first time. The conversation was fluent (despite Yinna’s struggles with English). Yinna remembers how fast Jason talked (but when doesn’t he), but that allowed her time to realize “how handsome Jason was with his beautiful blue eyes” and Jason kept thinking Yinna was “a good-looking gal” (and thankful it wasn’t the other Spanish lady at the bar). They went on more dates and fell fast for each other. Starting to date officially on January 30th, 2016. After a year and four months dating, they decided to move in together (An experience that will never be forgotten). During the first three months of living together life became easier and their love blossomed (Jason was just thankful not to have to drive Yinna home every night at midnight), they were very happy together. So happy in fact, that on a trip to Jason’s parents’ house in South Carolina, while at the beach (and many Coronas later-only because they ran out of Budweiser 😉) they decided they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They got married in August 18, 2017 and have been planning their Colombian wedding since then.

En el invierno de 2016, exactamente el 18 de Enero, Jason y Yinna se conocen por primera vez, la conversación fue divertida e interesante a pesar de Yinna y su lucha constante con el inglés. De ese dia, Yinna especialmente recuerda lo rápido que Jason hablaba (pero cuando él no lo hace), por lo cual ella tuvo tiempo para fijarse en "lo guapo que Jason estaba” y quedo cautivada por “sus hermosos ojos azules” y Jason solo pensaba que “Yinna estaba hermosa y tenía un acento sexy”. J y Y tuvieron más citas y rápidamente los sentimientos florecieron entre ellos, así que el 30 de Enero de 2016 empezaron una relación formal. Todo su noviazgo había sido maravilloso, así que después de un año y cuatro meses, decidieron mudarse juntos (una experiencia que no será olvidada). Durante los primeros meses viviendo juntos todo se sentía perfecto, aunque en realidad Jason estaba feliz de no tener que manejar a la media noche para llevar a Yinna a la casa. Este par estaban muy felices juntos, tan felices de hecho, que, en un viaje a la casa de los padres de Jason en Carolina del Sur, y mientras estaban disfrutando del sol, la playa y varias cervezas decidieron que querían pasar el resto de su vida juntos. Así que el 18 de agosto de 2017 se casaron y desde entonces han estado planeando su matrimonio en Colombia.
