Cascais
If you have some free time during your stay, we highly recommend a visit to Cascais, a charming seaside town just 30 minutes from Lisbon (and about 40 minutes from Sintra). Once a quiet fishing village, Cascais is now a stylish coastal retreat known for its beautiful beaches, scenic marina, and relaxed Mediterranean vibe. Wander the cobblestone streets lined with boutiques and cafés, stop for fresh seafood along the waterfront, or soak up the sun at Praia da Rainha or Guincho Beach. For a little adventure, check out the dramatic seaside cliffs at Boca do Inferno (“Mouth of Hell”), or rent bikes and follow the oceanfront path toward Estoril.
Pena National Palace
Perched high above Sintra, this colorful 19th-century Romanticist palace is one of Portugal’s most iconic landmarks, with sweeping views, vibrant architecture, and fairy-tale gardens that make it a must-see during your stay.
Belém
Take a trip to Belem to see the Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery and try the famous Pasteis de Belem (Rua de Belém nº 84 a 92, 1300 – 085 Lisboa Portugal)
