POV Summer: It all began when Jason slid into my DMs—yes, really! We had mutual friends and had noticed each other in posts, but it wasn’t until spring of 2020 that we started chatting online. What began with casual comments quickly turned into late-night conversations we never wanted to end. When we finally met in person, I was struck by how easy it was to talk to Jason. His sense of humor and the way he brightened every room he walked into were incredibly magnetic. There was just something different about him- It felt like we had known each other forever. We began spending more time together, and I still remember the butterflies in my stomach when, on his birthday that year, Jason confessed he had feelings for me. Little did he know, I was already head over heels for him. In August 2020, Jason planned a hike to Annapolis Rock—a place that would hold special meaning to us. He packed a lunch with my favorite snacks, and I thought his excitement was just to show me an amazing view. At the top, with a stunning panorama around us, Jason asked me to be his girlfriend. Our relationship flourished from there, filled with love, adventure, and endless laughter. Whether we were on weekend getaways or enjoying cozy nights in, he became my best friend, and every day felt like a new chapter in our story. In August 2023, Jason completely surprised me by proposing at the same place where he first asked me to be his girlfriend. Although I was initially grumpy about hiking on what felt like the hottest day of the summer, it turned into a day I’ll never forget. I remember teasing Jason about how we needed to start make more "team decisions" while sweating in the heat. However, when Jason got down on one knee, all I could do was smile. It was a beautiful, heartfelt moment, and without hesitation, I said “yes!” to forever with him. Now, as we prepare for our wedding day, I’m thrilled to share this special time with you. We’re looking forward to starting this new chapter of our lives and creating more memories with the people we love. POV Jason: Yeah yeah I slid into the DMs what can I say! Like Summer said we had mutual friends and had seen each other at multiple events, but we had never spoken in person. We had been following each other on instagram for awhile and one random day I responded to an instagram story she posted and we began messaging more from there. I decided after talking a bit that she had a lot of “crackhead energy” and it would be best to put her in the friend zone😉 We continued to text, snapchat, and then slowly started to hangout in person as friends. Unfortunately for me her cuteness and fun personality started to wear me down until being friends just wasn’t enough for me! On my birthday July 5th after a tubing adventure I told her I was interested in being more than friends and next thing you know one month later we began dating! As I got to know Summer more and more I realized she was way more than just a crazy “crackhead”🤣. She is very kind and fun loving person who truly cares about the people around her. I laugh (with and at🤪) so much every time I’m with her and she always knows how to bring a smile to my face. I planned our engagement 6 months in advance and picked out a ring with no knowledge of what she might like! To my relief being the amazing laid back woman she is, she loved it and said “yes” and we began to plan our future together. It’s crazy to think we have been together for a little over 4 years now and I wouldn’t trade any of it for anything in the world. We are both so excited to spend the rest of our lives together and we are very happy we get to share this special bond of marriage with you!
