We fell in love with Truist Field while on vacation last year. The last of six stops on our tour of ballparks, this home of the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox completely blew us away with its unique metropolitan location. We couldn't think of a better venue that combines our love of baseball and cityscape (Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park were non-negotiable).
We realize this is a destination celebration for almost all of our guests. Be sure to check out the Travel page on this website for tips to help you plan the journey. While the COVID pandemic is still a major concern in many parts of the country, we want all of our guests to feel comfortable. You were sent an invitation because we treasure your presence, but there is zero level of expectation when it comes to attendance.
Please RSVP as soon as you know whether or not you'll be able to attend, by AUGUST 20th at the latest. Lucky for you, we've decided to forego traditional 4.25"x5.5" cards that get lost in the shuffle and made it easy to RSVP right here on this website. Know a guest that is technologically challenged and/or struggles with deadlines? Give them a nudge and help them to RSVP.
Taking the ballpark venue and Southern early-fall weather into consideration, you are welcome to wear anything ranging from Casual to Cocktail. *Baseball jerseys are encouraged!* We will be dressed up, so we'd certainly welcome your most dapper suit or chic dress, but comfort is key to enjoying the celebration.
Your kids are absolutely invited! You will find their names on the invitation envelope and on this website when you RSVP. And if you acquire any more between now and September 24th, they are invited as well. While it is totally up to you if you want to bring them, this is probably the most kid-friendly ceremony you'll ever attend. Bonus points for not having to get them dressed up!
*Please be aware that our venues do not provide free parking.* Truist Field is a half mile from Ri Ra Irish Pub. We highly recommend picking one spot for the evening and experiencing walkable Uptown Charlotte. For more detailed parking information, please refer to the Travel page of this website.
Dinner will be presented buffet style. Bear in mind, the menu is being selected by a picky eater and a vegetarian, so there should be something for everyone to enjoy! We will add the menu to this website once it has been finalized. Feel free to check out Ri Ra's daily menu on their website to get an idea of the tastiness in store for you.
Life is more fun without assigned seating (ok, maybe not on airplanes). Both the ceremony and dinner are seating-chart-free zones. There will be plenty of room at both, so mingle to your heart's content!
We've made some plans that we would love for you to join! As listed on the Schedule, they are No-Host and 100% optional, so tag along for what you can and don't sweat what you can't.

We kindly ask that you do not gift us any home goods or other traditional registry items. We made our home together over twelve years ago, and anyone who has seen our apartment can attest that we don't need more stuff, no matter how cool it may be.
