It was a dark and stormy night... just kidding! The day we met was like no other. On August 5th, 2022, at a Westover Hills Young Adults service, Jason noticed something incredible out of the corner of his eye. At first, he thought it was the food. But next to it stood a girl with vibrant blue streaks in her hair, looking like the coolest person in the room. She seemed familiar, and he couldn’t help but be drawn to her. Maybe it was her hair, her style, or just the way she stood there looking all cute, but he knew he had to say something. Without thinking, he walked up and said, “Hey... you look familiar, do I know you?” Surprised, she replied, “Um, I don’t think so.” Unfazed, he grinned and said, “I’m Jason.” “Stefeni,” she replied. Little did he know, he had just met the girl of his dreams. Fast forward a bit, and they became friends—“Pen Pals,” as they jokingly called themselves, because they didn’t want anyone to know they were secretly into each other. Then came February at a Cody Carnes concert, where Jason couldn’t hold it in any longer. He told Stefeni how he felt, and to his joy, she felt the same way! Their first official date was in February at the San Antonio Rodeo. Did they think it might be awkward? Definitely. But God had other plans, and it turned out to be the perfect night. At the end of it, Jason asked, “When can I see you again?” Stefeni made him wait, but it was worth it. Fast forward a couple of months, and on May 12, 2023, in Gruene, Texas—where it all began—he finally asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes. They spent the next year laughing, loving, and building a beautiful relationship. And then, on July 28, 2024, back in Gruene, Texas, Jason got down on one knee and asked Stefeni to be his wife.
