FAQs

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs are now closed, thanks! We look forward to seeing everyone who said they are coming. Also our apologies but at this point we cannot update meal choices.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal. For American/western clothes this can range from suits and cocktail dresses all way up to tuxes and evening gowns. Formal culture attire such as sarees, sherwani, and cheongsam are also most welcome.

Question

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm, which means guests should be in their seats before that time. We recommend arriving at 4:30pm. We will have water available and a string quartet will be playing in the background.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that you do not take pictures/videos during the ceremony to avoid interfering with the professional photography and videography team. We will set aside a moment during the ceremony to allow for guest photos and will gladly share the professional photos once they are available. Photos during cocktail hour and the reception are most welcome but please remain mindful of the professional photo and video team.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

On the RSVP form, you will have the chance to notify us of any dietary restrictions, which the venue will do its best to accommodate. Please be specific about who the restriction applies to.

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

There is complimentary on-site parking at the venue. Some of the lots are a bit of a walk so please budget time to find a parking space and walk to the ceremony location.

Question

Is the venue outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is slated to take place on the terrace, weather-permitting. The terrace is entirely brick, so you will not need to walk over grass. The cocktail hour and reception will both be indoors.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Registry information is listed on this website. We kindly ask that you do not bring boxed gifts to the wedding since we live out of state and it will be difficult to take gifts on a plane. If you buy a gift via one of our online registries, it will be shipped to our home in Nashville.

Question

What if the hotel block is full?

Answer

There are many affordable hotels in the area. We recommend specifically searching for hotels near Dulles Airport if you are looking to stay as close to the venue as possible. The next closest hotel is Hyatt Place Chantilly/Dulles, located one mile (~20-25 min walk) from the Westfields Marriott.

Question

Is there a shuttle from Dulles to the hotel/venue?

Answer

The Westfields Marriott does not run a shuttle service from the airport. It is a short Uber/Lyft ride from Dulles. If you are coming via Metro, we recommend getting off at Innovation Center and hailing a ride.

Question

How easy is it to get to DC?

Answer

From the venue, you can Uber/Lyft to the Innovation Center metro station to catch the DC Metro Silver Line. The ride into the city center is 40-45 minutes. If you are hoping to tour DC over the weekend, you might consider staying closer to (or even in) the city and taking the Metro out this way on Saturday - just be sure to budget time to call for a ride from the metro station AND check the schedule to make sure you don't miss the last train back that night!

Question

How should we address the bride and groom after the wedding?

Answer

The same as you did before! Neither of us are changing our names.
