Our go-to for renting a car whenever we visit is Hertz. We recommend booking in advance for the best availability. Note that Hertz typically requires a security deposit of $300 to $500, in addition to the rental cost, which is refunded once the car is returned. We recommend basic insurance too, the local drivers can be a bit wild!

This is our #1 go-to hotel that we always stay at. Jason loves the sheets 😂 it's a great hotel, however it's 1 hr from the venue and in the heart of San Salvador.

If we stay for a few weeks, there are always so many finds (we never had a bad experience). We like staying at nice places, and there are many really nice and comfortable Airbnb's in La Libertad, El Zonte, Antiguo Cuscatlán, or Santa Elena. All very safe locations and plenty of reviews. We usually don't go below 4.8.
