Jason and I met in 2004. He showed up with his cousin at my aunt’s house during the holidays. We talked and exchanged numbers. From that moment on, life happened in full speed. I went off to college, came home on a few weekends and we hung out, but we never really officially dated. We flirted and just had a good time when we were around each other. We were friends first and that’s always been our foundation. Life continued to happen and we both were involved in a relationship with other people and then children entered the world and we lost contact for several years. We caught back up with each other in 2018 after a number of life events had taken place. We have matured and learned some lessons along the way. We began conversing and hanging out again and finally decided we would give US a chance. It has not been easy and we have plenty of ups and downs but we always seem to find our way back to each other. We’ve made lots of mistakes but one thing is for sure…There’s no one in this world we’d rather do this thing called “Life” with. We know if we keep God first in everything we do, it will work out for our good. On November 9, 2024, he asked me to be his wife and of course I said yes! We are excited to embark on this new journey together and continue to grow and choose each other everyday. We have learned that Love is not enough! You have to wake up everyday and put in the work, be patient and forgiving, and always communicate and listen. We are Always and Forever!
