We're Getting Married!

Our love story began four years ago in Redondo Beach, California. A brief introduction at Bay Club was all it took for sparks to fly and butterflies to set in. Not knowing what either party felt in that moment, they both went on to speculate with friends and family what the next steps would be. They dreamt of a future together before even knowing each other’s full names. The introduction came from Jason’s late father, Joe. Leading up to that first encounter, Joe was doing his leg work “vetting” Shae and sparking her interest with stories about his son. He messaged Jason that he had made friends with the trainer at the gym and that she was perfect for him. After the introduction, Shae and Jason spoke in passing every chance they got but Joe was becoming impatient hearing about measly hello’s and small talk. He took his match making skills a step further and invited Shae and her friend to the local dive bar to watch the Packers game. Jason couldn’t believe that his first date with the girl of his dreams would be with his father in attendance. He showed up with a friend assuming Shae knew he would be there. Nope. A fact he forgot to share. Startled but delighted, she dove in to the unconventional first date playing pool, darts, and cheering on the Packers. Jason walked Shae to her car, gave her a hug goodbye, and once again forgot to ask for her number. Joe kindly passed along the contact info and the rest is history. They went on a REAL first date just the two of them, the following week. Dinner, sunset walk along the strand, and deep conversation on the beach with no sense of time. Joe rests in heaven, proud of the love he helped create reinforcing that parents always know what’s best for their kids. We know he will be with us in spirit as we tie the knot August 29th and take on the beautiful life that awaits us.
