FAQs

Although we would love everybody to be able to bring their dogs, kids, friends, and more...we (and the venue) have some "rules" or kind recommendations for a fabulous celebration. The four asks we have to ensure a carefree and fun evening: 1) With the exception of immediate family children, our wedding is a child-free and pet-free event. 2) We're having an unplugged ceremony! That means, please join us in this special moment without screens (and also to respect our professional photographer) and refrain from taking pictures with your phones. Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to take photos of the lovely couple. 3) Be ready for fun, dancing, partying, and sharing in our celebration of love. Please feel free to bring comfortable footwear for the reception. 4) Join us in dressing up for this special once-in-a-lifetime event! Our dress code is fancy cocktail so pull out those suits and dresses.
Question

What is the address to the venue?

Answer

2941 Restaurant 2941 Fairview Park Dr Falls Church, VA 22042

Question

What time does the wedding start?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm but please plan to arrive by 4pm. Those that have not arrived by 4:30pm may not be let into the ceremony and will miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to witness Jason and Sara making it official.

Question

Where can we stay?

Answer

We've arranged for a limited number of rooms in a hotel block at the Archer Hotel Falls Church - in the Mosaic district in Falls Church, VA. If you would like to reserve a room, you can indicate that on your RSVP. If there are no rooms left when you RSVP, please let us know and we can work with the hotel for more rooms. Archer Hotel Falls Church 8296 Glass Alley Fairfax, VA 22031

Question

What is the best airport?

Answer

Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) The easiest way to get from the airport to the hotel is by Uber/Lyft/Taxi! Follow the signs for baggage claim outside the airport and you'll see green flags for ride share pickup.

Question

Are vaccines required?

Answer

Yes, please ensure the safety of everyone at our event and be completely vaccinated.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

While we love all of the kids in our lives, this event is not particularly young child friendly. There will be lots of food, open bar, and late night dancing (and loud music) and not to mention long stretches of sitting. Only immediate family children are included in this celebration. We hope this is an opportunity to have fun, take a break from the Paw Patrol, and enjoy a fun evening out!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as you can regarding any dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

Question

Dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is fancy cocktail! Break out those suits and dresses and let's show the world the best dressed guests in town. Please no jeans, khakis, shorts, or t-shirts. Feel free to bring comfy shoes/flats/flip flops for the dancing portion later on in the evening. Please see the following look to help you get a better idea of our dress code: (https://www.theknot.com/content/cocktail-wedding-attire?fbclid=IwAR29hPPwibWwj6jq3OrQlgwaco4V6iK13rQG4pXz7aYKgW0NuzirXyFEVbs)

Question

Parking and other transportation details

Answer

Our venue is just a 1.5 mile from the chosen hotel so uber/lyft is your best option. For those that are local, our venue is close to the Dunn Loring metro station (but you will probably need to take a uber/lyft/taxi from the station to the venue). Free parking at the venue - please follow signs for either the outdoor parking lot and/or the parking garage. Please drink responsibly if you're driving.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by February 20, 2024. Since we have to provide a final headcount to the venue soon after this deadline, we will consider you a 'no' if we don't receive your RSVP by this date.

Question

Can I bring a date or a friend?

Answer

Only those people listed on the invitation are invited to the wedding. We have very limited space at the venue and we cannot accommodate additional guests at this time. If you do receive a plus one, your invitation will have that guest's name on it or your name plus 'guest'. We will need their full name and their meal choice when you RSVP.

Question

Can I take my own pictures/video?

Answer

We're having an unplugged ceremony so please put away all phones and keep them on silent. Our photographer will take plenty of photos and we will share far and wide with everyone. After the ceremony, you can take as many pictures as you want!!! We encourage you to snap pictures and share with us via text.

Question

Can I see the Bride/Groom before the ceremony?

Answer

We want this to be a fun evening celebrating our love and this incredibly important day in our lives. Unless we have specifically invited you to join us in our individual 'getting ready' suites, we will see you at the ceremony and say hello at the cocktail hour. Please don't ask to see the Bride or Groom prior to the event as we will be doing a lot of coordination and preparation leading up to our big day!

Question

Can I change my selected main course?

Answer

We're having a plated dinner and guests will have to choose which main option they would like to have. That final total will be given to the restaurant several weeks before our celebration so you cannot change it after that date. Please ensure that you provide us with your option or we will pick for you!
