Things To Do

It will be Labor Day weekend, you are more than welcome to spend the weekend with us.

Selinsgrove Speedway

330 Pennsylvania 35, Selinsgrove, PA 17870
, (570) 374-2266

If you are here for the weekend, check out the sprint car races on 9/4/22. Bring your safety goggles/sunglasses and prepare to get dusty and loud. Recommend the pizza. It is BOYB in cans and cooler.

Ricketts Glen State Park

695 Pennsylvania 487, Benton, PA 17814
, (570) 477-5675

If you are into hiking and beautiful views, we highly recommend Rickets Glenn state park. The Ricketts Glen Falls Trail is a 7-mile loop that has 21 waterfalls. It is considered moderate, but it is gorgeous. About 1 hour away from the hotels.

Rail Trail Parking (Vicksburg)

1328 Beaver Run Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837

If you want to be outside and view our local scenery on foot or bike, we recommend the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail. The trail is 9 mile long one way, flat and connects Lewisburg to Mifflinburg. This in location is set to the Vicksburg parking lot, located right next to our house.

Rusty Rail Brewing Company

5 North 8th Street, Mifflinburg, PA 17844
, (570) 966-7878

If you are into local beer, check this place out. Go upstairs for some furry surprises.

Jackass Brewing Company, LLC

2268 Old Turnpike Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837
, (570) 551-0876

Another good place for local beer. You can sit out back or go for a walk along the Rail Trail out back.

Finger Lakes

NY

The New York Finger Lake Region is a group of lakes known for about 100 wineries, breweries and distilleries. They also have great fishing, hiking, camping and lots of beautiful waterfalls. There are tons of airbnb or rental houses in the area. An easy drive of 2.5 -3 hours away from Lewisburg. You could easily spend a day or a weekend there. We have our favorite places, so let us know if you need any recommendations.

Street of Shops

100 North Water Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837
, (570) 524-5765

If you are into Antiques, this is one of the largest local stores.

Raymond B. Winter State Park

17215 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, PA 17844
, (570) 966-1455

Local State Park with hiking, playground and beach area.

Ice Cream Tour

We live in an area with a surprising amount of local ice cream shops. They are mainly soft serve and are usually cash only. These are a few of our favorites. Old Mill Creamery, The Purple Cow, Pelican's Snoballs, Amy's Frosty Freeze in Mifflinburg and Chilly Willy's. Old Mill is the closest to the venue and Renee’s favorite.

Yard Sales

Turns out the local area is having tons of yard/garage sales this weekend. Happy hunting.
