Our Happily Ever After!

We are grateful and in awe of how God made our paths cross without us realizing it. Neither of us were looking and we did not realize we were friends on Facebook for a couple of years before we started talking. Both of us are not big social media users, and would of never thought we would be able to trust meeting someone from this platform, as there can be a lot of misuses of it, but God still used it to have us meet, at the perfect timing. Jason uses social media for the "Market Place" tab hunting for a new gadget or equipment for sale. Oksana mainly uses it for work and ignored the "romantic" messages, but felt comfortable with Jason. He gave the "guy who does not play games" impression and it helped that he is a local resident, too. Oksana noticed Jason liking Oksana's photos after a vacation in Mexico with her parents in early December of 2022. Oksana decided to like 2 of Jason's photos back without expecting anything in return, but to her surprise, Jason sent her a private message later that day, on December 7, 2022, and it all started to unfold from there. We believe that this is the date God introduced us. Early in our conversations we told each other that we were just getting to know each other as friends, but Jason kept calling and pursuing Oksana and asked her on a dinner date. On January 2nd, 2023, we met at Herb Neuman's in Everson, WA. Long before Jason and Oksana met, Oksana prayed that her future husband would know that she would be his wife early on. After our first date, Jason called Oksana and said "I know this is early, but when you know, you know". Jason did not realize that this was one of Oksana's answered prayers. Then, on January 7, 2023, Jason asked Oksana to exclusively date. We let time confirm that confidence in Jason and the next couple of years, God prepared our hearts and lives to become one as husband and wife. We are grateful Jason set the "long haul" expectation early on to protect each other's hearts. The relationship felt almost effortless from the beginning. The conversations seemed to flow naturally and our values aligned and we knew something was there from the very beginning. God put a spark within us and our values and future visions, hopes and dreams aligned so we kept nourishing our relationship with Jesus in the center. We made the commitment to grow in our relationship with one another and in our faith by being committed to go to church together and let God lead the way. We believe this is the root of the beauty and harmony in our relationship. God has blessed us beyond what we can imagine because we made the commitment to put Him first in every aspect of our lives and walk in obedience to God despite the cultural norms. Through our imperfect human efforts, God saw our hearts desires and by his grace, and he lavished the joys and blessings that seemed to overflow as we continue to seek Him in all that we do. June 7, 2025 will be exactly 2.5 years since God introduced us and we want to honor God by saying "yes" to our future together. We are grateful beyond words of what God can do in our lives and we are confident that when we do things God's way, we get to experience a little slice of heaven here on earth and it's beautiful. It is a gift to love and to be loved in return and we are grateful to experience God's best for us and can't wait for our future together. With 7 being God's number, it is amazing to look back and see how God is intertwined in every detail, big and small. We did not realize that when we met and when we started to officially date all fell on the 7th, so we decided to go with the 7 theme and set out wedding date exactly on our 2.5 year anniversary of God introducing us. 12/07/22 - God introduced us 01/07/23 - Started dating 11/24/24 - Got engaged 06/07/25 - Wedding date We are excited to celebrate God and our love story with you!
