Harbor Beach

The Harbor Beach Resort is a private lakeside resort association located an hour north of Port Huron on the shore of Lake Huron in the Michigan thumb. Founded in 1896, the resort is a friendly community of 38 family summer homes (cottages), many of which have been in the same family for generations.
It features many recreational activities and a fabulous Clubhouse that provides communal dining during the summer. The resort’s shoreline is on the world’s largest man-made freshwater harbor of 650 acres protected by a break wall 1.5 miles long with a restored lighthouse built in 1885. Originally conceived before air conditioning as an escape from oppressive summer heat, the typical summer weather is warm days in the 70s and cooler nights in the 60s.
The resort continues to be a favorite vacation destination for families from all over the country.
