Where should I stay in Cartagena?

Answer

Cartagena is truly the best of both worlds, so it depends what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for: nightlife, restaurants, a central location, or if you just want to be closer to the action, then you should look for accommodations near the Cuidad Amurallada (Old City). If you want to be closer to the beach and be in a more relaxed setting, then you should look for accommodations near Boca Grande. Boca Grande is also known as the hotel zone since there’s an abundance of hotels in the area. Our ceremony will be in the Cuidad Amurallada and the reception will be near Boca Grande (about 10 minutes away). Cartagena is so magical; you will have a great time either way, but try to think about what you’re looking for from this experience when booking your accommodations. 😊 Let us know if you have any questions. As we begin our lives together, we are especially grateful for the support from our loved ones. We recognize how lucky we are to be blessed with the necessities of everyday life, and have decided to instead plan an unforgettable honeymoon to Bali to celebrate the beginning of our married life together. Our wedding registry consists of experiences and expenses for our honeymoon where guests can make contributions if so inclined. The rest of our cash fund will go towards home and furniture expenses as a newly married couple. The biggest gift of all, however, is your presence on our Big Day. Thank you for your love, and we can’t wait to share our honeymoon adventures with you!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Ceremony: Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. Reception: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats! We would like guests to dress in formal attire for the ceremony and if preferred, change to semi-formal for the reception. Above are some recommendations. The ceremony is oceanside and Cartagena is hot this time of year, please plan to dress accordingly. We want our guests to be as comfortable as possible. Due to the reception being oceanside, it might be a little breezy at night.
