Jason and Matt met on EHarmony.com's LGBTQ dating app called 'Compatible Partners' in 2016. The matchmaker app connected Matt, the introverted, coffee-loving photographer from Phoenix, Arizona to Jason, the out-going, Dolly-lovin' choir teacher living in Springfield, Missouri. Using the app, they exchanged numbers and quickly found themselves talking for hours on the phone getting to know each other. They became close friends quickly and decided a month in that it was time to meet. Jason flew to Phoenix in June 2016. Together they took a trip up to the Grand Canyon in Matt's white Tacoma. Over many flights back and forth, Matt and Jason grew closer as they continued their long distance relationship taking turns visiting each month. Matt asked Jason to marry him during family vacation in Hawaii at Rainbow Falls on June 6, 2021, and they now live in Springfield, MO.
