Our home for the week is directly on the 4x4beach. You will need a four wheel or AWD vehicle with at least 7.5 inches of ground clearance to access the house. It is a 1 mile drive off the paved road down the beach to the house. Bring a tire pressure gauge. Reduced tire pressure is critical when driving on the beach. Tire pressure should be 18-20psi. They have places for you to fill your tires back up when you get off the beach. If you don't have a 4x4 vehicle you can park at the Twiddy office and purchase a parking pass daily for $7.00 or weekly $35.00.
