Kiana grew up in a small town on the Wisconsin–Illinois border. With a love for travel and a heart set on becoming a Physical Therapist, she followed her dreams to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2022 and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2025. Jason was raised in East Setauket, Long Island. Looking for a college not too far from home, he also chose Sacred Heart. He completed his undergraduate degree in 2022 and earned his Master’s in Management in 2023. They met during their freshman-year stress management class. From small conversations to late-night group hangouts during senior year, their connection quietly grew. Everything changed one Halloween weekend when Jason picked Kiana and her friends up after a party—and she surprised him with a spontaneous thank-you kiss. From that moment, something just felt different. A few months later, on January 15, 2022, they went on their first official date to Spotted Horse in Shelton, CT. On the drive home, Jason asked, in the most casual yet sincere way, if Kiana would be his girlfriend. And of course, she said yes. The Proposal After finishing her final clinical rotation in NYC, Kiana returned to Long Island. They had made plans to visit a tulip farm, but life (thanks to Kiana’s extra weekend plans) caused a few delays. Still, Sunday came and the moment was perfect. As Kiana walked through rows of blooming tulips, Jason asked to take her photo—and when she turned around, he was on one knee. It was a quiet, beautiful moment… and she was left completely speechless.
