Our story began on a warm summer evening at Cosmic Coffee in Austin, one of our favorite low-key and cozy bars. I had moved to Austin from LA 12 years prior to pursue my undergraduate degree, and instantly fell in love with the city. Jason, born in Buffalo and raised in Austin, had always felt that Austin would be his forever home. In a world of swipes and profiles, we were looking for something real and genuine. We had very different dating journeys; I had been on the dating apps for a long time and navigated it's ups and downs, whereas Jason had only been on the apps for a few short weeks. But when our paths crossed online, something clicked instantly. We both recall feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity in each other that night. We bonded over our shared love for staying active—whether it was going to the gym, going for a swim at Barton Springs, or participating in our favorite sports—and, of course, our mutual appreciation for good food. But the real kicker came when Jason asked me if, being from Los Angeles, I knew any famous people, to which I replied, “Yes, Jason Alexander”. He then replied, “that’s me!” I looked at Jason with complete shock as I had no idea that was his last name, too! We had a great laugh over that. Since that first night, our connection only grew stronger. Our relationship has been steady, calm, and consistent, built on a foundation of mutual respect, shared values, and a love of exploring life together. From going on adventures with Luna to taking ice-skating lessons together, we have built a life of quiet love and unshakeable trust. Just like our first date, it’s been simple, real and full of joy. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter together in October and share it with all of you!
