Bet you could have guessed we would recommend biking! Brown County has great mountain biking and hiking trails for everyone! We have link some cycling/hiking routes at the bottom of the page!
Kate went to school at IU and thus suggests a stroll around campus or to catch the IU football opener (depending on game time.) She spent a lot of time at bill armstrong stadium, but also loves the showalter fountain, the sample gates, and the light installation that is on display at night at the museum of art.
Kilroy’s holds a special place in both our hearts as Jason visited the Broad Ripple and Downtown Bars while at School at Marian University and Kate visited KOK and Kilroy’s Sports while at IU. Highly recommend a water long island and/or an order of breadsticks!
If you are looking for good food away from campus and a “scenic view” of lake monroe we love this little restaurant esp as it is along one of the road bike routes Kate frequented in college.
We love Upland and especially appreciate all it has done to support the cycling community!
A staple IU spot for hanging out and sinking "the biz" (feel free to ask Kate's mom and/or some of her cousins about this game and how Sally felt about Kate drinking straight from the bucket during her junior year of college.)
We hope to rent some boats/get some time out on the water at Lake Monroe on Sunday if you have time to join us!
Big Woods Pizza has locations in Indy as well as Btown and Nashville, IN. We LOVE the smokehouse pizza.
Love the sweet potato fries here and all of the food in general!
Nashville, IN is near Brown County State Park and offers cute shops and eateries!
The firetower near this trail is also a fun attraction!
There are so many trails within Brown County State Park, this is just one example of a ride Jason has done!
