I started a summer job at City Cafe & Bakery in Fayetteville, GA. It was just supposed to be for the summer to get me through until the school year started up again. I worked in the bakery retail side of the restaurant and I bartended a few nights a week. While working there, I met my best friend and maid of honor, Lauren. We instantly clicked! While we were chatting one day, I decided to ask her about the cute guy I saw working in the kitchen. "That's Jason. He's the sous chef. He's really nice! A group of us like to hang out after work sometimes." I didn't think much of him because we were coworkers and I wasn't going to work there for very long anyways. Fast forward to November. Still working at City Cafe. Jason walks up to me during a shift and invites me over to his place for a Friendsgiving he is hosting. Of course I say yes. Lauren and I go together and I finally got to see Jason outside of work and surrounded by his friends. He's really funny! And very generous and considerate to those around him. After that night, we kept talking and texting. We hung out more and more outside of work. We started to see each other as more than coworkers and more than friends. But dating a coworker almost never works out. If it doesn't, how are we going to keep working together? But we felt something real between us. Something deep and special. So, we decided to just go for it! It turns out that dating your coworker can be the best decision you will ever make. I've met my best friend. The person I miss the second he leaves. The one who sees me for exactly who I am and who loves me deeper than I could ever imagine. We are so thrilled to be starting this incredible chapter in our lives and we can't wait to see what amazing things the future has for us.
