It is a timeless and romantic story . . . we met on the internet. Although we bonded over a mutual love of dive bars and bad beers on the popular dating app, Hinge, Jason recommended we meet at a cocktail bar in the neighborhood for our first date. We hit it off immediately and spent the next several years getting to know each other, traveling together, meeting each other's families and spending time with friends.
After dating for over two years and moving in together, Jason decided to develop an elaborate plan to pop the question (little did he know the most elaborate part would be convincing me to put on dress on a Saturday instead of the typical weekend attire: workout clothes). After a brunch downtown, the group suggested a walk by Chicago's iconic Riverwalk where Jason got down on one knee and I said yes!
We're so excited to have you all join for the next chapter of our journey on 10-4 (rest assured, there will be plenty of trucker puns). We will be getting married at the Baer family farm which my grandfather started and several of my family members still run to this day. Not only is this the location of my first job (packing chicken eggs) and Jason's first of many Baer interrogations (thank you Uncle Amos), but it is also the place my parents were married. A big thank you to all the families who will be hosting and for all of those traveling from afar to join us.
