On a summer evening in Nashville, Tennessee in 2023, a group of young adults from Fellowship Bible Church gathered to play pickleball. Little did Jason know that he was about to play a doubles game against a girl in which he would smoke a ball right over her head and immediately apologize for the close call. Later in the evening he would go on to have a conversation with this girl. Her joy and sweetness made him smile. Jason met Jenna. The two would continue to get to know each other at church and activities like sand volleyball and bonfires. While this grew their admiration of each other, unfortunately it was a case of right person, wrong time when it clicked that Jason wanted to pursue Jenna. Fortunately good things come to those who wait! In January of 2024, Jason finally had the opportunity to ask Jenna out. She said yes!.. For 2 dates. This would take them on separate paths until the Lord put Jenna back on Jason’s heart several months later. He knew having a follow up conversation with her was worth the risk. Pulling her aside from the almost impenetrable fortress (aka circle of girls) at volleyball took all the courage he could muster. This conversation shifted something in Jenna. She took a few days to think about it, pulled him aside, and she told him she wanted to give it another try, and his jaw practically hit the floor in shock and excitement. Since their 2nd 1st date in June, something shifted. All of a sudden it became right person, right time. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned to months and Jason and Jenna knew that they wanted to marry each other. On March 29, 2025, He would take her out to a concert at the Ryman, but before dinner he brought her to a rose art structure they had walked by months before. It was there that Jason would get down on a knee and ask the love of his life Jenna Rose Mabry to marry him. She said yes!! Now they are currently counting down the days till they get to celebrate the love story the Lord is writing for them, and to express the joy and gratitude they have for the family and friends they love that have been there with them along the journey!
