We met at the start of the pandemic. Our first date was a video call from Aunt Cath and Uncle John's house where Jamie stayed early in the pandemic. Instead of in person dates, we talked by phone. Once we met in person, we were able to bond quickly as we had to choose to be in each other's bubble, which meant we spent lots of time together without other people or places to go. Our first dinner together in a restaurant was to celebrate 1 year together. Jason had two wonderful daughters when we met, Clara and Adelaide, who are now ages 11 and 9. Jason and Jamie, along with the girls' biological mom, have been raising them together for several years now. We adopted our doofy dog, Cassidy, in April 2021. Jamie moved to Virginia in Oct 2021 to be all together. Jason proposed on Jamie's birthday in February 2023 while she was recovering from major knee surgery and was still unable to walk! In June of 2023, we discovered Jamie was pregnant with baby Theodore, who is now eight months old :) He is a joy, and the whole family adores him. We are blessed beyond measure with our later in life partnership and in raising our children.
