As you make your travel plans, we wanted to provide you with some helpful information regarding transportation options in the area. Getting around Sorrento can be a bit tricky, especially when it comes to taxis. While taxis are available, they can be expensive. Therefore, we recommend considering alternative options for your convenience. If you have a long distance to travel, we highly recommend pre-booking a taxi or hiring a private chauffeur. This ensures a reliable and hassle-free experience, especially if you're traveling with a larger group or have specific timing requirements. For shorter journeys within the town, we suggest using the DigiTaxi app. Similar to Uber, you can request a taxi through the app. You can find more information about DigiTaxi and their services at https://www.digitaxi.it/eng/index.php. While some taxis in Sorrento accept credit cards, several of them may refuse them. To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend carrying a small amount of cash for your taxi fares. After our wedding reception, which will finish at 2am at Villa Astor, finding a taxi during the late hours can be challenging. To ensure a smooth and timely departure, we highly recommend pre-booking your transportation in advance. This will help you avoid any waiting time and the possibility of premium pricing due to limited availability.
