The easiest way is to Uber or Lyft. You will not need a car for the wedding, however if you intend to explore the mountains while you are here you can rent a car. Car rentals from Denver International Airport are off-site and require a shuttle bus to access. Denver also has train service from the airport to downtown on the A Line (https://www.rtd-denver.com/services/airport) and the hotel is a 15 minute walk from Union Station.
Family is extremely important to us! At this stage in the planning it is hard to predict what the City of Denver will allow regarding guest counts. If you would like to bring your child/children to the reception, please contact Caroline directly. We do know that we will be able to accommodate children at the Open House event on Saturday and have included a variety of kid-friendly activities in the Things to Do section.
We are so excited that you are choosing to bring the family and hope you will join us for the Open House on Saturday! For babysitting there are two recommended options. One is to use care.com, a national website that Caroline used in all her travels with Ian pre-COVID. A second option is that Caroline can post on your behalf in several Denver-based childcare Facebook groups that she uses to find caregivers locally. If you'd like any help finding childcare please contact Caroline directly.
Each individual is different, however Denver is high enough above sea level to be noticeable for many people. Please drink plenty of water, be careful with alcohol and do not over-exert yourself until you know how the altitude impacts you! Headaches are a common sign of mild altitude sickness. You can read more details on how to have fun while being safe here: https://www.denver.org/about-denver/denver-resources/high-altitude-tips/
Yes, we know pot is legal here, however believe it or not, it's not a complete free for all! There is no pot allowed at the reception or any of the wedding event spaces.
