The world is chaotic and everything is changing, but I heard a cheesy line awhile ago that I just can't seem to let go of. "You can't cancel love." Amidst the uncertainty in the world, we are certain that we love each other even more and are looking forward to being married. We are practically bursting at the seams to spend our whole lives together! We may have had to reschedule, cancel, and/or stress over every event for our upcoming nuptials, but we ARE getting married on September 6th. Our venue has been so gracious to ensure that we get married safely, and our families have been steadfast in preparations! We look forward to seeing you all there and hope that you feel comfortable celebrating with us. We do understand however, that there are some of you who will not feel comfortable traveling. The last thing that we want to do is to put you in a situation where you feel uncomfortable, so if you do decide not to come or change your mind, please reach out to one of us so we can tell you how much we love you! If you still feel comfortable attending, we will be certainly glad to have you but we will ensure we will follow whatever policies, guidelines, or recommendations possible. It will just be hard not to squeeze everyone! We look forward to celebrating with you in whatever way you feel most comfortable!

When Britni moved to Lansing in July of 2018, she joined the life group through her church that Jason just so happened to be in. We tease each other that we barely knew the other existed until we actually got to know each other until February/March of 2019. Britni finally caught Jason's eye with her dazzling personality, and then he convinced her he was alright too. It didn't take much time for Britni to realize that she was the real winner in the relationship. And since then, they have been inseparable!

Jason asked Britni's dad Mark for his blessing in late August 2019, and almost every day thereafter, her mom Nikki asked Britni if he had proposed yet. Even on a Tuesday afternoon in the middle of the work day. Little did we know, he was planning the ultimate proposal and designing the most beautiful engagement ring! These things take time guys! Britni had been out of town during the week for work and Rosie (the furry little nugget that we both love) was hanging out with Jason. When Britni walked through her door with her shirt untucked, shoes off, exhausted, sneezing from a nasty cold, and clearly ready for a nap, there Jason was standing in her doorway looking snazzy in a finnnne suit with a single red rose in his hand. Of course, there was another 249 roses behind him, along with candles & 250 cards representing all of the days they had been together. Britni was stunned! She almost tried to run away in shock (fight or flight, my friends!) but then came to her senses. Jason washed Britni's feet as a representation of service to her as his partner. He then played the guitar and sang a song to her (which will become our first dance!). Britni was in a daze at first, so later on she made him sing it a few times again! She won't let everyone else hear him sing because then she may lose Jason to his new groupies. But I digress. Following this, Jason asked Britni to spend the rest of her life with him. And she wouldn't have imagined anything other than saying yes. After this, they spent a romantic evening at dinner just the two of them & watched fireworks together. They spent the weekend with their family & friends celebrating!
