FAQs

Question

General Aruba & Travel FAQs

Answer

IS TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED FROM THE AIRPORT? No. Because everyone is arriving at different times, there is no set airport-to-hotel transportation plan. However, the airport has available taxis right outside the terminal to bring you directly to the hotel, which is only a short ride away. DO I NEED TO COMPLETE ANY TRAVEL FORMS BEFORE ARRIVING? Yes! The Aruba ED (Embarkation-Disembarkation) Card is mandatory for all international travelers before departure. You can complete the quick online form at the official link here: edcardaruba.aw IS THE HOTEL ALL INCLUSIVE? The Aruba Marriott Resort is not an all-inclusive hotel. While the island of Aruba does have a very small number of all-inclusive properties, you are more than welcome to stay at any resort that suits your preferences—just keep in mind you will need to arrange your own transportation to the weekend's events if you stay off-site! IS THERE A MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT? Yes. If you are booking through our hotel room block, you are required to stay for the core three nights of the trip (Thursday through Sunday). The hotel does offer our discounted block rate for additional nights before and after that core window, but those extra nights are based on hotel availability. WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE? Aruba is beautiful in early December! You can expect typical daytime highs around 86°F and comfortable evening lows around 78°F. The island's signature northeast trade winds will provide a refreshing breeze, keeping things feeling comfortable. While December falls at the tail end of the island's minor shower season, any rain is typically brief, passing quickly to make way for sunshine. HOW IS THE OCEAN THERE? The ocean water in Aruba is beautifully warm, turquoise, and incredibly flat. It is perfect for lounging, so we highly recommend bringing a pool float for the ocean!

Question

Thursday: The Welcome Party

Answer

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE WELCOME PARTY? The Welcome Party will kick off our wedding weekend on Thursday, December 3, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Pinchos Bar and Grill (located at the Surfside Marina pier). HOW DO I GET TO THE WELCOME PARTY? A shuttle bus will depart promptly at 5:30 PM from the Aruba Marriott Resort lobby to take everyone to Pinchos. At the end of the evening, transportation will also be provided to bring everyone back to the hotel. WHAT IF I MISS OR WILL NOT BE READY IN TIME FOR THE SHUTTLE? The shuttle will be leaving promptly at 5:30 PM so we do not miss the amazing sunset on the pier! If you happen to miss the shuttle departure, you can easily call or hail a local taxi from the hotel lobby to take you directly to Pinchos Bar and Grill. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE? The dress code is Dressy Casual / Island Chic. Think light, breezy, and comfortable, but still polished. For men: Short-sleeve button-downs, polos, linen shirts, nice shorts, or lightweight pants. For women: Casual summer dresses, skirts, or dressy tops. IS THIS EVENT MANDATORY? Not at all! The Welcome Party is entirely optional. We want everyone to enjoy their vacation exactly how they see fit, so please feel free to come to what you'd like. We just kindly ask that you RSVP accurately to what you do plan to attend so we can provide a proper headcount to our venues in advance. WILL FOOD AND DRINKS BE SERVED? Yes! Dinner and drinks will be fully provided, so come hungry and ready to celebrate.

Question

Friday: The Wedding & After Party

Answer

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE WEDDING CEREMONY? The wedding ceremony will take place on Friday, December 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. WILL THE WEDDING BE ON THE SAND? Yes! Our ceremony and reception will be held right on the beach, while the cocktail hour will be elevated up on a nearby patio. Don't worry about ruining your footwear—we will have a shoe rack available at the beach entrance should you want to kick off your shoes while on the sand! WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING? The dress code is Elevated Beachwear. We want you to feel elegant but comfortable in the tropical climate. Men are encouraged to wear dress pants or linen pants with a collared shirt. Please note: no shorts are permitted for the wedding. Women may wear cocktail dresses, maxi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. WHERE AND WHEN IS THE AFTER PARTY? The party keeps going from 10:30 PM to 12:00 AM at MooMba Beach Bar! It is located just steps down the beach from our wedding reception venue, so no driving or shuttles are required. DO I REALLY NEED TO RSVP FOR THE AFTER PARTY? Yes, please! While this is an entirely optional and casual late-night plan, we have a private section reserved. We want to ensure we have enough late-night bites ordered for everyone who plans to keep the party going, so please RSVP accurately so we can lock in our final headcounts.

Question

Saturday: Kukoo Kunuku Bus

Answer

WHAT ON EARTH IS A KUKOO KUNUKU BUS? It is Aruba's legendary, wildly colorful, open-air party bus! On Saturday night, we are renting it out to take us bar-hopping to three different spots around the island. Expect high-energy music, flowing drinks, lots of maraca-shaking, and a full-on rolling party with all our favorite people. It’s going to be loud, a little wild, and unforgettable! The tour officially starts at 8:00 PM, so please make sure to meet in the hotel lobby by 7:30 PM so we can board and head out on time. IS THIS EVENT MANDATORY? Nope! Like our other weekend events, this is completely optional. We want you to enjoy your vacation your way! If you do want to join the party bus ride, just please make sure to RSVP to this specific event so we can secure the right number of tickets and seats on the bus. ARE DRINKS INCLUDED ON THE PARTY BUS? Yes, the ride is on us! We are covering the tickets, transportation, and the signature drinks provided on the bus itself to get the party started. DO I NEED TO BRING MONEY FOR THE BARS WE VISIT? Yes, please bring some cash or a card! Because the bus will be taking us off the beaten path to some fantastic, local bars throughout Aruba, there isn't a single drink package that covers all the stops. Any alcohol or refreshments purchased at the individual bars will be on a cash-bar basis.
