The day started out being filled with excitement, ready for a day on the mountain. We drove up for a day of snowboarding at Purgatory Ski Resort, one of our favorite activities. Little did I know, Jason was carrying a ring in his pocket, knowing today was the day. We headed to our favorite spot at the top of lift 8 to take a picture. When we got to the top of the lift, we went to the side to take a picture. Jason started unclipping out of his bindings, and I was thinking, why is he unclipping all the way. He said it was to take a better picture. So I also unclipped, and we got a great selfie. Little did I know, this was the original spot that Jason wanted to propose. We then decided to go to one of our favorite runs, "Major Fun." As we were approaching the run, Jason stopped ahead of me like he usually does to wait for me. I decided to keep cruising down and just waved as I passed him. He quickly passed me again and stopped halfway down to take another picture. It was a beautiful bluebird day with fresh snow on the ground and trees. He completely unclipped out of his board, and I was thinking, "Why is he unclipping out?" He asked me, "Are you going to unclip?" Not knowing what was about to happen, I said, "No, we can take a picture clipped in." He proceeded on to say how much he loves me and how his life is the best it has ever been with me in it. To my surprise, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. Words can't even describe how happy and filled with joy I was at that moment. My immediate answer was, "Yes, Of course, I will marry you!" We then stood at the top of the mountain taking in the fantastic views and talking about how amazing life is with each other in it. We walked to the side of the trail and carved our names and date in a tree. It was one of the best days of our lives.
